and by the eleventh section of chapter two
hundred and forty-two of the acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly, passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy-six, and known
as the "General Railroad Law;" provided, that
if any of the said crossings shall be made at
grade, then the said railroad company shall, at
its own expense, erect a proper signal station

|
at such crossings, and keep a watchman there-
at, and the trains of the company owning or
operating the said road so crossed at grade
shall have precedence over the trains of the
company so crossing said track or tracks; and
provided further, that if the said crossing shall
be under or over grade, they shall be so con-
structed by the said railroad company so cross-
ing as not to interfere with the passage of
trains under or over the same by the company
or companies operating the railroad so crossed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts
of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this
act are hereby repealed to the extent to which
such acts or parts of acts are thus inconsistent.

Repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Carib Guano Com-
pany.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That Lewis E. Hopkins,

Severn Eyre, John W. Williams, Henry G.
Hilken and Horatio McPhason Dall, and all
other persons who shall hereafter become .
stockholders in the company hereby incorpor-
ated, shall be a body corporate by the name
and style of the Carib Guano Company, and
