SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall

AN ACT to amend and re-enact section twenty-
seven, of article sixteen, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Chancery," sub- title
"Divorce."
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section twenty-

seven, of article sixteen, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title "Di-
vorce." be and the same is hereby repealed,
amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows :

Applications
for divorce.
|
27. No person shall be entitled to make
application for a divorce, where the causes for
divorce occurred out of this State, unless the
party complainant or defendant shall have
resided within this State for two years next
preceding such application.
|

|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
