SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That so much of
section eight of the act of eighteen hundred

and eighty-four, chapter one hundred and fifty-
seven, as limits the amount to be used in any
two years for the payment of animals slaugh-
tered, be and the same is hereby repealed, and
that all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with
this act be and the same are hereby repealed.

Repeal.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 81.
AN ACT to refund to John N. Henman, late
Collector of Taxes for Worcester county, the
sum of four hundred and sixty-nine dollars
and sixty-one cents, for money paid into the
Treasury of the State in excess of the amount
due by him to the State for State taxes for
eighteen hundred and eighty-two and three.
WHEEEAS it appears by the books of the
Treasury Department of the State of Maryland,
that John N. Henman has paid into the Treas-

|
ury of the State the sum of four hundred and
sixty-nine dollars and sixty-one cents in ex-
cess of the amount due by him for State taxes
for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-
two and three, for Worcester county; and

WHEEEAS the Treasurer and Comptroller of
the State have recommended the passage of a
law refunding the said sum of money to said
Collector; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Treasurer be
