WHEREAS the citizens on the Mason and Dixon's


line, in Garrett, Allegany and Washington counties,


State of Maryland, are at a loss to know where the

seriously annoyed in ascertaining said line, because of


the indefiniteness of the position of said line and the


absence of any mark locating the same; therefore —


Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Mary-


land, That for the purpose of relocating and re-estab-


lishing the proper course of said Mason and Dixon's


line, our senators and representatives in Congress are


requested to use their influence in urging the necessity


of an appropriation by the general government for the


purpose of resurveying and locating the said Mason
