Chapter 6.


AN ACT to repeal section eight of an act to incor-


porate a company to establish a Public Cemetery at


Westminister in Carroll county, and to revive and


connect therewith the charter of the "Westminister


General Meeting House and Burying Ground,"


passed at the January session of eighteen hundred


and sixty-four, chapter one hundred and sixty-one,


and to re-enact the same with amendments.


SECTION 1. Be, it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That section eight of an act to incor-


porate a company to establish a public cemetery at


Westminister in Carroll county, and to revive and

same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read


as follows:


SECTION 8. Be it further enacted, That the charter


granted to the trustees of the Westminister General


Meeting House in Carroll county, as aforesaid, be and


the same is hereby revived, and that all the rights,


franchises, privileges and immunities conferred by the


said charter on said trustees be and are hereby vested

president and managers thereof, with power to do all


acts necessary to protect and manage said meeting


house and burying ground as fully as the trustees


elected under said charter could have done; and the


said president and managers shall also have power


and authority to lay off burial lots, roads and walks
