Chapter 505.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to permit the County Commissioners of
|
|
|
|
Baltimore county to lay out and open public roads
|
|
|
|
in the Thirteenth Election District of said county,
|
|
|
|
south of the Washington road, within two miles of
|
|
|
|
Baltimore city.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, by chapter ninety-nine of the acts of
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and seventy, it was provided that
|
|
|
|
street commissioners should be appointed to lay off all
|
|
|
|
that part of Baltimore county, within two miles of the
|
|
|
|
limits of the city of Baltimore, into streets, avenues,
|

&c.; and, whereas, that part of said territory south
|
|
|
|
and east of the Washington road has not been so laid
|
|
|
|
off, and the public convenience demands that certain
|
|
|
|
roads should be laid out and constructed immediately
|
|
|
|
for public use within said limits.

|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Balti-
|
|
|
|
more county be and they are hereby authorized and
|
|
|
|
empowered to lay out and construct, under the pro-
|
|
|
|
visions of the present road laws of Baltimore county,
|
|
|
|
such roads or avenues within that part of the Thir-
|

teenth Election District of Baltimore county lying

|
|
|
within two miles of the present limits of the city of
|
|
|
|
Baltimore, and south and east of the Washington road
|
|
|
|
as may be demanded for the convenience of the people
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts of assem-
|
|
|
|
bly, or any part of any such acts that may be in con-
|
|
