may see fit, and upon the failure of said officer or

other person to appear or to produce the records de-

such further provisions for expediting the duties of the

auditor by securing to him the inspection of said rec-

ords and due performance of said duties under this

act, as the circumstances of the case may seem to re-

quire.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That for the year eight-

een hundred and eighty-five, and thence on, the audi-

tor of said court appointed as aforesaid, shall annually
