Chapter 497.

AN ACT to give the sanction of the General Assem-

bly to certain bequests and devises to the Methodist

Preachers' Aid Society of Baltimore, contained in

the last will and testament of Ann Earnest, of Bal-

timore city.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the sanction of the General Assem-

bly of Maryland is hereby given to the bequests and

devises to the Methodist Preachers' Aid Society of

Sanction to be-

Baltimore and to the Missionary Society of the Metho-

quest.

dist Episcopal Church, contained in the last will and

testament of Ann Earnest, late of Baltimore city, de-

ceased, which said will was admitted to probate by

the orphans' court of said city on or about the twelfth

day of February, eighteen hundred and eighty-three.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

Chapter 498.

AN ACT -to enlarge the powers of the Mayor, Coun-
sellor and Aldermen of the city of Annapolis, by
adding certain sections to the charter of said city
relating to public cemeteries, and the acquisition of
land by said corporation for that purpose, and the
regulation thereof, and the construction and main-
tenance of roads and bridges leading thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the G-eneral Assembly
of Maryland, That the following sections be and the
same hereby are added to the Code of Public Local

Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel county,"
sub-title "Annapolis," to be known as sections seven-
ty-five, seventy-six, seventy-seven and seventy-eight,
of said title and sub-title.
