chester county and their treasurer and clerks, their
|
|
|

and his receipts, accounts, disbursements and vouchers,
|
|
|

and make a full report of the results of such exami-

nation to the said judges one month before the April

term of court of each year, setting forth how much
|
|
|
|
of the preceding levy and levies have been disbursed,
|
|
|
|
with the vouchers therefore, how much has remained
|
|
|
|
uncollected, and how much is in cash in the hands of
|
|
|
|
the treasurer; also the precise status of the sinking
|
|
|
|
fund; how much has been appropriated to the pur-
|
|
|
|
chase and cancellation of county bonds; how much
|
|
|
|
has been invested in mortgages, and how much re-
|
|
|
|
mains uninvested in the hands of the treasurer of the
|
|
|
|
said board of county commissioners. He shall make

same as he finds them to said court as aforesaid; and

shall also publish a copy of his report in one or more
|

newspapers published in said county, or by handbills,
|

as the county commissioners may direct, for the infor-
|
|
|
|
mation and satisfaction of the people.

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the auditor first
|
|
|
|
appointed under this act shall forthwith proceed to
|
|
|
|
ascertain the present condition of the finances of said
|
|
|
|
county, and make a report thereof as hereinbefore
|
|
|
|
provided, and to that end shall examine books, papers,
|
|
|
|
accounts, vouchers of the county commissioners office,
|
|
|
|
and no voucher shall be allowed or passed unless the
|
|
|

claim has been levied for the use of the party, or order

by the party claiming or to whom it may be due, com-

mencing with the levy made in the year eighteen hun-

dred and seventy-eight, the first under the present
|
|

financial system of said county, and thence on down to
|
|
|
|
the present time, including the levy of eighteen hun-
|
|
|
|
dred and eighty-three, and he shall receive there-
|
|
|
|
for the sum of two hundred dollars.

|
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the auditor, when
|
|
|
|
appointed and qualified as aforesaid, shall have full
|
