	Chapter 483.
	AN ACT to require the Clerk of the Circuit Court
	for Charles county to prepare and make a general
	index to the Land Records of Charles county prior
	to the year eighteen hundred and eighty-four, and
	to prepare and keep a general index of all Deeds
	recorded during and after the year eighteen hundred
	and eighty-four.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
	of Maryland, That the clerk of the circuit court for
	Charles county be and he is hereby authorized and
	directed to prepare and make a general index to the
	land records of Charles county prior to the year eigh-	Make general
	teen hundred and eighty-four, and to prepare and keep	index.
	a general index of all deeds recorded during and after
	the year eighteen hundred and eighty-four in said
	county; said general index to be kept in a well bound
	book suitable for the purpose after the method known
	as the Campbell system.
	SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said clerk shall
	be entitled to and receive the sum of eight cents for
	each name indexed under and by direction of this bill,	Clerk's fee.
	and that the said sum so required to pay for said work
	to be levied for and paid by the county commissioners
	of said county.
	SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take	Effective.
	effect from and after the date of its passage.
