Chapter 465.

AN ACT to prohibit the location or placing of porta-

ble steam saw mills within a distance of seventy-five

yards of any public road in Talbot county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any per-

son or persons to have or place any portable steam saw

mill within a distance of seventy-five yards of any of

the public roads of Talbot county; any person or per-

sons violating any of the provisions of this act shall

be subject to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars

nor more than fifty dollars, one half of which when

collected shall go to the informer and the other half

to the county commissioners for the benefit of the

school fund of said county; provided, however, that

this act shall not apply to such portable steam saw

mills as are already in operation.
