Proviso.
|
said party until said fine shall be paid; provided,

however, such person so committed shall have the

right to appeal from such judgment to the circuit
|

court for Cecil county by giving bond for his appear-
|
|
|

ance thereto in such surety as the justice may approve.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
|
|
|
|
of the bailiff or constable of said city, as the case may
|
|
|

be, to arrest any person or persons for riotous or dis-
|

|
orderly conduct, or the violation of any of the ordi-
|
|
|
|
nances of said city, and forthwith take him, her or
|
|
|
|
them before any justice of the peace of said city, and

present to said justice the charge or charges against
|
|
|
|
the person so arrested, which justice shall forthwith
|
|
|
|
proceed to try the right and justice of the charge,
|
|
|
If guilty.
|
and who, if said party shall be found guilty, shall
|
|
|
|
commit such party to the custody of the officer, who
|
|
|
|
shall place him, her or them in confinement in the
|
|
|
|
lock-up of the city until discharged by law.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts
|
|
|
|
of acts inconsistent with this act be and the same are
|
|
|

hereby repealed in and so far as they relate to said

Chesapeake City, and that this act shall take effect

|
|
|
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to provide for the transfer to the county
|
|
|
|
commissioners of Cecil county of the state's interest
|
|
|
|
in the Bohemia Bridge company.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the board of public works be and it
|
|
|
|
is hereby authorized and empowered to transfer to the
|
|
|

terms as to the said board may seem right and proper;

provided, the said county commissioners make said
