Chapter 443.


AN ACT to amend the act of eighteen hundred and


eighty-two, chapter four hundred and fifty-one, by


adding an additional section.


Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the act of the general assembly of eighteen hun-

SEC. 13. Be it enacted, That the clerk to the county


commissioners of Harford county shall be entitled to


retain ten per cent, of the amount received by him for

Chapter 443.


AN ACT for the better protection of the peace and


good order of Chesapeake City, in Cecil county, in


this State.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly


of Maryland, That any person or persons guilty of


riotous or disorderly conduct within the corporate


limits of Chesapeake City, or who may otherwise vio-


late any of the ordinances of said city, shall be pun-


ished by fine or imprisonment in the lock-up or jail of
said city, after conviction thereof before any justice

riotous conduct

of the peace of said city, in the discretion of such jus-


tice, who is hereby authorized to commit to the lock-up


of said city for such number of days as in his judg-


ment may be right and proper the party so convicted


by him; or if the punishment be a fine, may commit
