		Chapter 383.
		AN ACT to authorize and direct the Treasurer of the
		State, with the concurrence of the Governor and
		the Comptroller of the Treasury, to invest, from
		time to time, the monies set apart to the credit of
		the various sinking funds of the state, in the stock
		or bonds of the state, or in such other productive
		stocks or bonds as the Treasurer (the Governor and
		Comptroller concurring) may consider safe and re-
		liable.
		SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
		of Maryland, That the treasurer of the state, with
		the concurrence of the governor and comptroller of the
		treasury, be and he is hereby authorized and directed
	Treasurer to in-	to invest, from time to time, the monies set apart to
	vest in stocks.	the credit of the various sinking funds of the state, in
		the stocks or bonds of this state, or in such other pro-
		ductive stocks or bonds as the treasurer (the governor
		and comptroller concurring) may consider safe and re-
		liable.
		SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts and parts
	Inconsistent	of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be
	acts repealed.	and the same are hereby repealed.
		SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
	Effective.	effect from the date of its passage.
