Chapter 306.


AN ACT to incorporate the " Worcester Citizens


Bank," in Snow Hill, Worcester county, Maryland.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That Lovi A. Purnell, George W. Cov-


ington, Ladok F. Wharton, John W. Smith, George


W. Bishop, George M. Upshur, John A. Herrman, B.
Jones Taylor, Thomas M. Purnell and Clayton J.

body corporate.

Purnellj and their successors in office, be and they are


hereby constituted and made a body corporate and


politic, under the name and style of " Worcester Citi-


zens Bank."


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation,


under the above name and style, is hereby made able


and capable in law to sue and bo sued, plead and be


impleaded, answer and be answered, defend and be

same to break, alter and renew at their pleasure, and

the "Worcester Citizens Bank," intended to be created


by this act, shall be fifty thousand dollars, in shares of


fifty dollars each; five dollars shall be paid on each


share of the stock at the time of subscribing, and the
