Chapter 353.


AN ACT to permit the citizens of Meekin's Neck, in


Dorchester county, to shoot Wild Fowl from sink-


boats and floating blinds within the waters of Honga


river and Tar bay.


SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall be lawful for the citizens of

Meekin's neck, in Dorchester county, to shoot wild
fowl from sink-boats or floating blinds in, on and over


the waters of Honga river and Tar bay, within two


miles of the shore of said Meekin's neck.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts

Chapter 351.


AN ACT to authorize the Attorney General of the


State to take such steps as are necessary to obtain


a decision of the Supreme Court of the United States


as to the validity, scope and effect of the " Compact


of seventeen hundred and eighty-five," and to em-


ploy additional counsel with the approbation of the


Governor, and to appropriate a sum of money there-


for.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That the attorney general of the state


be and he is hereby authorized to take such steps as


may be necessary to obtain a decision of the Supreme

Test validity of

Court of the United States, as to the validity, scope

compact of 1785

and effect of the "Compact of seventeen hundred and


eighty-five," and that with the approbation of the


governor of the state, he is hereby authorized to em-


ploy additional counsel to assist in any suit for that


purpose, and the sum of two thousand dollars is hereby
