LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland That a plat of ground, twenty-four feet
|
|
|
|
square, be and is hereby ceded to the United States of
|
|
|
Pint of ground,
ceded.
|
America within the ground surrounding the State
|
|
|
|
House and known as the State House Circle, located
|
|
|
|
at Annapolis, for the purpose aforesaid, the said plat to
|
|
|
|
be any part of said circle which may be agreed upon
|
|
|
|
by the secretary of state of the United States, and
|
|
|
|
the Honorable Robert M. McLane, Governor. And
|
|
|
|
the Governor of the State of Maryland is hereby em-
|
|
|
|
powered to execute to the United States such further
|
|
|
|
assurance or conveyance as the laws of the United
|
|
|
|
States require in the premises; provided, always, that
|
|
|

this state shall retain concurrent jurisdiction with the
|
|
|
risdiction.
|
United States, in and over the land hereby ceded, so
|
|
|
|
far that all processes, civil and criminal, issuing under
|
|
|
|
the authority of this state or any of the courts or judi-
|
|
|
|
cial officers thereof, may be executed on the premises
|
|
|
|
so ceded, and in or on any structure that may be
|
|
|
|
placed thereon, in the same manner and to the same
|
|
|
|
extent as if this cession had never been made.

|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
