	Chapter 381.
	AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
	James A. Burroughs for the services of J. Norman
	Burroughs, late Register of Voters for the sixth
	election district of St. Mary's county.
	WHEREAS it appears by a recent decision of the
	court of appeals that J. Norman Burroughs, late reg-
	ister of voters for the sixth election district of St.
	Mary's county, was entitled to an additional compen-
	sation for services rendered in eighteen hundred and	Preamble.
	eighty-two; and whereas it further appears that the
	said J. Norman Burroughs died prior to the rendition
	of the aforesaid decision, and left no property which
	would justify the expense of an administrator, leav-
	ing a widow and family in needy circumstances;
	therefore —
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
	of Maryland, That the comptroller of the treasury	Comptroller to

	AN ACT to give and grant the sanction and consent
	of the General Assembly of Maryland to sundry
	gifts, devises and bequests of various persons in this
	state to or for the use of sundry religious sects.
