AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to refurnish
|
|
|
|
the Comptroller's office with suitable desks and the
|
|
|
|
necessary cases requisite for the proper preservation
|
|
|
|
of the books and papers in said office, and for
|
|
|
|
carpeting the same.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS the cases for the preservation of books
|
|
|
|
and papers of the comptroller's office are utterly inade-
|
|
|
|
quate for that purpose, and the desks, with but one
|
Preamble.
|
|
|
single exception, are worthless, the office being sadly
|
|
|
|
in need of refurnishing; therefore —
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the comptroller of the treasury
be and is hereby authorized to have the said office
|

refurnished with the book-cases necessary for the

|
|
proper preservation of books and papers, and with
|
|
|
|
desks suitable for said office, and also have said office
|
|
|
|
properly carpeted and refitted.
|
|
|
|
SEC 2. Be it enacted, That the sum of one thous-
|
|
|
|
and dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
|

is hereby appropriated, to be paid out of any money
|
therefor.

|
in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the
|
|
|
|
purpose of carrying out the provisions of this act.

|
|
|
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
