Chapter 184.


AN ACT to permit the Highlandtown and Point


Breeze Railway Company of Baltimore, its suc-


cessors or assigns, to operate a Passenger Railway


upon certain streets in the city of Baltimore and


Baltimore county.


WHEREAS the Highlandtown and Point Breeze


Railway Company of Baltimore, a corporation incor-


porated under the act of eighteen hundred and sev-


enty-six, chapter two hundred and forty-two, has,


under a decree of the circuit court of Baltimore city,


become the purchaser of all the property and rights of


the " Monumental City Railway Company of Balti-


more; " and whereas the said " Monumental City

Preamble.

Railway Company of Baltimore," its successors or


assigns, was, by an ordinance of the mayor and city


council of Baltimore, number sixteen, approved March


eighth, eighteen hundred and eighty, and amendments


thereto, authorized to operate a passenger railway over


certain streets in Baltimore city, and was also author-


ized by the county commissioners of Baltimore county


to run over certain streets in Baltimore county; there-


fore —
