Chapter 183.


AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of


Prince George county, upon the petition of thirty


or more land owners within any district, to levy on


the assessable property within such district, in


addition to the annual levy, a special tax of not


more than ten cents in the hundred dollars, for the


improvement of the roads in such district.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That in addition to the proper protec-


tion of the general road tax levied annually for ordi-


nary expenses of roads and bridges within Prince


George's county, the county commissioners shall have


power, in their discretion, upon the petition of thirty

Maryland to a certain bequest in the last will and


testament of Catharine A. John, to the trustees of


the Methodist Episcopal Church in Elkton.


WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly


that the last will and testament of Catharine A. John,


late of Cecil county, deceased, contains the following
