Chapter 15.
AN ACT to pay Frank B. Mayer one hundred dol-
lars for services rendered by him to the Board of
Public Works in connection with the improvements
of the State House and grounds.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the comptroller of the treasury
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue

his warrant upon the treasurer, in favor of Frank B.
Mayer or order, for the sum of one hundred dollars,
for services rendered by the said Mayer to the Board
of Public Works in connection with the improve-
ments of the State House and public grounds adjacent
thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 16.
AN ACT to repeal sections two and three of the
acts passed eighteen hundred and seventy-eight,
entitled "An act for the protection of birds in
Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties," and
to re-enact with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That sections two and three of the

acts passed eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, chap-
ter two hundred and eighty-four, entitled "An act for
the protection of birds in Prince George's and Anne
Arundel counties," be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for
any person to hunt, shoot, kill or otherwise destroy
any ortalan, sora or railbirds upon any of the marshes
of the Patuxent, Potomac or Patapsco rivers border-
