AN ACT to refund to James Cheston, James Carey
|
|
|
|
and Francis T. King, executors of Galloway Ches-
|
|
|
|
ton, late of Baltimore county, deceased, a sum ot
|
|
|
|
money erroneously paid by them into the treasury.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS James Cheston, James Carey and Francis
|
|
|
|
T. King, executors of Galloway Cheston, late of Bal-
|
|
|
|
timore county, deceased, paid to the register of wills
|
|
|
|
for said county the sum of sixty dollars, as the state
|
|
|
|
tax on the sum of six hundred dollars of executors'
|
|
|
|
commissions allowed them by the orphans' court of
|
Preamble,
|
|
|
said county; and whereas, in the final settlement of
|
|
|
|
said estate in the circuit court of Baltimore city, the
|
|
|
|
said executors were obliged to return to said estate the
|
|
|
|
entire amount of said commissions, including the said
|
|
|
|
sum of sixty dollars paid by them as said state tax
|
|
|
|
thereon; therefore,
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the comptroller of the treasury
|
|
|
|
be and he is hereby directed to issue his warrant on
|
|
|
|
the treasurer of Maryland to pay to James Cheston,
|
|
|
|
James Carey and Francis T. King, executors of Gallo-
|
Issue warrant.
|
|
|

by them as state tax on executors' commissions erro-

|
|

neously allowed them, and which were subsequently
|
|
|

returned by them to the said estate.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
