AN ACT to repeal sub-section one hundred and
|
|
|
|
thirty, chapter one hundred and eight, of the acts
|
|
|
|
of assembly passed at the January session, eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and seventy-eight, entitled "An act to add
|
|
|
|
an additional article to the Code of Public Local
|
|
|
|
Laws, to be entitled ' Garrett County,' sub-titl»
|
|
|
|
'Wild Animals,' " and re-enact the same with
|
|
|
|
amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That section one hundred and thirty
|
|
|
|
of chapter one hundred and eight of the acts of assem-
|
|
|
|
bly passed at the January session, eighteen hundred
|
|
|

entitled ' Garrett County,' sub-title ' Wild Animals,' "

|
|
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so
|
|
|
|
as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 130. To obtain such allowance it shall be
|
|
|
|
necessary for the person killing such animal to pro-
|
|
|
|
duce the head, skin or scalp of the same before some
|
|
|

justice of the peace for said county, and at the same
|
|
|
how obtainable

time make oath that the said animal was taken and
|
|
|
|
killed within the limits of Garrett county, within
|
|
|
|
twenty-five days before the production of the head,
|
|
|
|
skin or scalp before the justice, and said justice shall
|
|
|
|
thereupon give the person producing the same a certi-
|
|
|
|
ficate that such head, skin or scalp was produced
|
|
|
|
before him, wherein he shall set forth the above men-
|
|
|
|
tioned oath; and it shall also be the duty of the jus-
|
|
|
|
tice to mark any such head, skin or scalp by cutting
|
|
|
|
holes through the ear, to prevent any second allow-
|
|
|
|
ance for the same.

|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
