AN ACT to repeal the sixth sub-section of chapter
|
|
|
|
|
two hundred and sixty-seven of the acts of assembly
|
|
|
|
|
passed at the January session, one thousand eight
|
|
|
|
|
hundred and eighty, entitled "An act to add new
|
|
|
|
|
section to the first article of the Code of Public
|
|
|
|
|
Local Laws, entitled 'Allegany county,' to be sub-
|
|
|
|
|
titled ' Insane Asylum,' and to vest in the county
|
|
|
|
|
commissioners of said county additional powers re-
|
|
|
|
|
lating to the care of insane persons," and re-enact
|
|
|
|
|
the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. And be it enacted by the General As-
|
|
|
|
|
sembly of Maryland, That the sixth sub-section of
|
|
|
|
|
chapter two hundred and sixty-seven of the acts of
|
|
|
|
|
assembly passed at the January session of one thousand
|
|
|
|
|
eight hundred and eighty, entitled "An act to add
|

re-enacted.

|
|
Local Laws, entitled 'Allegany county,' to be sub-titled
|
|
|
|
|
' Insane Asylum,' and to vest in the county commis-
|
|
|
|
|
sioners of said county additional powers relating to
|
|
|
|
|
the care of insane persons," be and the same is hereby
|
|
|
|
|
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SEC..... For the purpose of raising the necessary
|
|
|
|
|
funds to purchase the land and erect the building or
|
|
|
|
|
buildings provided for in the foregoing sections, the
|
|
|
|
|
commissioners of said county are hereby authorized
|
|
|
|
|
to issue coupon bonds of said county, in denomina-
|

tions not less than one hundred nor more than five
|
|
|
|
|
hundred dollars, and to an amount not exceeding
|
|
|
|
|
thirty thousand dollars; said bonds to bear interest
|
|
|
|
|
at a rate not exceeding four and one-half per centum
|
|
|
|
|
per annum, and to mature and fall due as follows, viz.:
