ington County any beverage without having first obtained
a license so to do. No brewer, wholesaler, or distributor
shall sell or deliver any beverage within Washington County
to any person other than a licensee.
681I. No brewer or manufacturer shall have any direct
or indirect financial interest in the business of any licensee.
681J. Any person who shall violate any of the provi-
sions of this Act shall, upon conviction by a court of com-
petent jurisdiction, be punished by a fine not exceeding one
thousand dollars ($1, 000) or imprisonment in jail for one
year, or both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of
the court, and in case of a licensee his license shall be re-
voked for a period of one year. In case any licensee is con-
victed of the violation of the terms of this section the Court
shall immediately declare his license revoked and notify the
Clerk of the Circuit Court accordingly. Any licensee who
shall sell or permit the sale of any alcoholic beverages not
authorized under the terms of this section on his premises
or in connection with his business or otherwise shall, upon
conviction, forfeit his license and shall in addition thereto
be fined one thousand dollars ($1, 000) or imprisoned for
one year, or both fined and imprisoned, in the discretion
of the court.
681K. The State's Attorney of Washington County, the
Sheriff of said County, the Constables of the several Dis-
tricts therein and the town officers of any incorporated
town in Washington County are all specifically charged
with the enforcement of the provisions of this Act and the
prosecution of those charged with the violation of the pro-
visions thereof.
681L. The funds derived from the sale of the said
licenses in Washington County, except the amount de-
ducted by the clerk as hereinbefore provided, shall be paid
to the incorporated towns of the County or the County, as
the case may be, where the applicant is licensed to operate.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions
of Sections 634 to 681, inclusive, of Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington Coun-
ty", sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks", be and
they are repealed in so far as the same are inconsist-
ent with the provisions of this Act.
