appointment of a Board of Beer License Commission-
ers of Prince George's County, defining their powers
and duties with respect to issuing or revoking licenses
and permits for the regulation and sale of malt liquors
containing not more than 3. 2 percentum of alcohol by
weight in Prince George's County, and prescribing
punishment for violation of this Act by licensees or
permittees thereunder.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, 708, 709,
710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, 716, 717, 718, and 719
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County, " sub-
title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks" as enacted by
Chapter 13 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1917
(Special Session) be and the same are hereby repealed
and that seventeen new Sections in lieu thereof be enacted
so as to read as follows:
Section 703. The words "spirituous liquors" as used in
this Act shall be construed to embrace all vinous or
spirituous liquors including whiskey, brandy or other in-
toxicating drinks, mixtures or preparations of like drinks,
other than malt or brewed drinks; "malt liquors" shall be
construed to embrace porter, ale, beer, lager beer, or other
malt or brewed drinks; that the words "intoxicating
liquors" whenever used in this Act shall be construed
to embrace both spirituous liquors and malt liquors con-
taining more than 3. 2 percentum of alcohol by weight,
and also any and all liquid mixtures or preparations con-
taining more than the aforesaid amount of alcohol by
weight.
Section 704. It shall not be lawful on and after the first
day of June, 1933, for any person or persons, house,
company, club, body corporate or manufacturer of in-
toxicating liquors of any kind, to barter or sell directly
or indirectly, to solicit or receive orders in person or by
letter or printed circular, either by mail or otherwise for
the purchase of intoxicating liquors within the limits of
Prince George's County or to give away at any place of
business within the limits of said county within the limits
of Prince George's County any intoxicating liquors at any
time; nor shall any license be granted for the sale of the
same in said county and if such license is issued it shall be
void, provided, however, that this section shall not apply to
