he will well and faithfully perform the duties and obliga-
tions provided herein with regard to cases involving viola-
tions of ordinances of the said town. Said bond, if required
by the Mayor and Council, shall be filed with the Clerk of
said town and the justice of the peace if so required shall
furnish said bond before he shall act in his official capacity.
Said justice of the peace shall receive the fees already pro-
vided for by existing laws and in addition thereto, as com-
pensation for his services in cases involving violations of
ordinances of said town, he may receive a salary to be paid
by said town, the amount thereof to be determined by the
Council with the approval of the Mayor, provided, however,
said salary shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100. 00)
per month. Said justice of the peace shall collect as part of
the costs of cases involving a violation of the ordinances of
said town, two and one-half dollars ($2. 50) for hearing each
said cause; he shall keep a docket of all such cases heard
by him and in addition to any reports which he may by
existing law be required to make, he shall on or before the
fifth day of each month submit a report, under oath, to the
Mayor and Council of said town, showing the names, num-
bers and results of all such cases heard by him during the
preceding calendar month and the amounts of costs, fees
and fines imposed and collected by him in such cases; upon
the making of such report he shall pay over to the Town
Clerk of said town all fines, costs, penalties and forfei-
tures collected by him in such cases. The Mayor and
Council of said town shall supply said justice of the peace
with all books, papers and forms to be used by him in
carrying out the duties imposed upon him by this Act in
cases involving violations of the ordinances of said town.

570A. One of the justices of the peace for the seven-
teenth election district of Prince George's County provided
by this Article shall be appointed from and reside in that
portion of said election district of said County lying within
the bounds of the Town of Takoma Park. Said justice of
the peace, in addition to such powers as he may already
have under existing law, shall have the same powers,
rights, duties, obligations and the same provisions as to
emoluments shall apply to him, in respect to cases involv-
ing violations within said County of ordinances of said
town as are granted to and imposed upon a justice of the
peace for the thirteenth election district of Montgomery
County by Section 489A of Article 16 hereof, in respect to
cases involving violations within Montgomery County of
ordinances of said town; provided that if the justice of the
