and Constables, " and a new section to Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Prince George's County, " sub-title "Justices of the
Peace, " said new sections to be known as Sections 489A
and 570A respectively and to follow immediately after
Section 489 and 570A respectively of Articles 16 and 17
respectively, providing for justices of the peace in that
part of the Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery
County lying within the bounds of the town of Takoma
Park and in that part of the Seventeenth Election Dis-
trict of Prince George's County lying within the bounds
of the town / of Takoma Park.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, " sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables, " said new section
to be known as Section 489A, to follow immediately after
Section 489 of said Article and a new section be and it is
hereby added to Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace, " said new section
to be known as Section 570A, to follow immediately after
Section 570 of said Article, said respective sections to read
as follows:

489A. In addition to the three justices of the peace
for the thirteenth election district of Montgomery County
provided by Section 488 of this Article, there shall be a
fourth justice of the peace for the said district of the said
county who shall be appointed from and reside in that
portion of said election district of said county lying within
the bounds of the Town of Takoma Park. Said justice
of the peace shall have all the powers given by law to
other justices of the peace for the said county, yand in ad-
dition thereto shall have power to hear and determine all
cases wherein the offense charged is a violation within
said county of an ordinance of the Town of Takoma Park;
and he shall have power to issue process, pronounce judg-
ment and sentence and to do all acts which may be neces-
sary to the exercise of these said powers.

The Mayor and Council of the said town may require
the said justice of the peace to give a bond to the Town
of Takoma Park in such penalty as may be fixed by the
said Mayor and Council, not to exceed $500. 00, with surety
to be approved by the Mayor and Council, conditioned that
