year 1934, in the same manner as taxes for general pur-
poses are collected by the City of Cumberland.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 419.

AN ACT to add one new section to Article I of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-
title "County Commissioners, " to be known as Section
105C, authorizing the County Commissioners of Alle-
gany County to borrow money for the use of Allegany
County in anticipation of the receipts levied for any one
year, and to issue bonds, notes or other evidence of in-
debtedness therefor, and to sell or pledge the same as
collateral, and to provide that said Act be passed as an
emergency measure.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That one new section be, and the same is hereby
added to Article I of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-title "County Com-
missioners, " to be known as Section 105C, and to read
as follows:

105C. Whenever the amount of taxes collected shall be
insufficient to meet the current expenses of Allegany
County, the County Commissioners of Allegany County are
authorized and empowered to borrow upon the credit of
said County such sums of money not to exceed the then
outstanding and uncollected taxes of said County as may
be necessary to pay such current expenses, and may issue
upon the faith and credit of the County, notes, bonds, or
other evidence of indebtedness, and may sell, pledge or
re-pledge as collateral such notes, bonds, or other evidence
of indebtedness when issued, and the issuance, sale, pledg-
ing or re-pledging as collateral of such notes, bonds, or
other evidence of indebtedness shall be upon such terms
and conditions as said County Commissioners of Allegany
County may by resolution deem proper.
