CHAPTER 412.

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 9 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Charles County, " sub-title "Land Records, " said new
sections to be known as Sections 163A, 163B and 163C,
and to follow immediately after Section 163 of said
Article, authorizing the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Charles County to provide a book for the purpose -of
recording plats to be entered of record; constituting
said plats when so recorded part of the land records of
said county; and authorizing the transfer of plats here-
tofore recorded among said land records to the new
plat book under certain conditions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and the same are
hereby added to Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County, " sub-
title "Land Records, " said new sections to be known as
Sections 163A, 163B and 163C, to follow immediately after
Section 163 of said Article, and to read as follows:

163A. The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Charles
County shall provide for suitable books to be designated
as Plat Book No. etc.. in which plats tendered for record
shall be recorded.

163B. Said plats when filed for record in said county
shall constitute a part of the land records of said county,
and shall have the same force and effect as to notice, as is
now given the properly recorded deeds.

163C. The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Charles
County is hereby authorized to remove from the land
records of said county such plats as have been heretofore
filed for record among said land records, and record the
same in the new plat books herein provided for, provided
that in the event such plats are removed from the land
records in which they have heretofore been recorded by
the clerk of the said court, then and in such event, the
clerk shall make such a notation in the Land Record and
Index thereto, from which the same shall have been re-
moved, respectively, as, will be notice to anyone searching
said land records of the transfer of said plats to the plat
