CHAPTER 400.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 751-757, both inclusive, of
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Frederick County, " sub-title
"Taxes, " said sections relating to taxes on mortgages and
judgments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 751-757, both inclusive, of Article
11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Frederick County, " sub-title "Taxes, " be
and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

Approved April 21, 1933.

CHAPTER 401.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, "
said new section to be known as Section 97 and to follow
immediately after Section 96 of said Article, authorizing
the County Commissioners of Frederick County to ap-
point an attorney and prescribing his compensation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Frederick County, " sub-title "County
Commissioners, " said new section to be known as Section
97, to follow immediately after Section 96 of said Article,

and to read, as follows:

97. The Commissioners of Frederick County are here-
by authorized and empowered to appoint an attorney to
said board, who shall receive as compensation for the pro-
fessional services rendered by him as said attorney, the
sum of five hundred dollars ($500. 00) per annum, to be
paid in equal monthly installments, in lieu of all fees and
