licenses are issued for a period of six months, one-half only
of the annual fee hereinafter provided for shall be charged;
provided further that such licenses as may be issued be-
tween the date of the passage of this Act and May 1st,
1933, will not expire until the first day of May, 1934, and
when so issued the respective licensees shall not only pay
the annual license fee hereinafter set forth but an addi-
tional amount based upon said annual fee and in propor-
tion to the length of time which said licenses will ac-
tually run. The annual license fee for all licenses granted
under this Act shall be as follows: Manufacturers' License,
One Hundred Dollars; Distributors' License, Fifty Dol-
lars; "On and Off Sale" retailers' license, Fifty Dollars;
and "Off Sale" retailers' license, Twenty-five Dollars,
the same to be paid to the Clerk of the Court and by him
accounted for at the end of the month following payment,
less a fee of Fifty Cents (50c) for each license, the same
to be retained by the Clerk for the use of his office, as fol-
lows: All the balance of said license fee shall be paid to
the County Commissioners of Allegany County if said li-
censed place be not located in an incorporated town or city
of Allegany County; but if said licensed place be located
in an incorporated town or city of said County, then all of
the balance of said license fee shall be paid by said Clerk
to such incorporated town or city.
Every applicant for/a license of any class to manufac-
ture, sell or distribute any of the beverages aforesaid shall
file with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Allegany County,
as the case may be, a written petition for such license and
at the same time shall pay to said Clerk the sum of two
Dollars ($2. 00) for expenses incurred therewith. The
Clerk of Court shall cause standard forms for such licenses
to be printed and shall cause standard forms for such ap-
plications to be printed and made available to applicants
for said license upon the payment of the sum of One Dollar
($1. 00) for said form. Said petition for such license shall
contain the following information and assurances. Each
application for a license shall contain:
(a) The name and residence of the applicant and how
long, if an individual or firm, or association, he or they
have resided within the State of Maryland, and, if a Cor-
poration, a statement that it is a Corporation together with
its date of incorporation, and authorized to do business in
Maryland.
(b) The particular place for which a license is desired,
designating the same with street and number if practica-
