CHAPTER 381.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, title "Corporations, " sub-title
"Public Service Commission, " to be known as Section
381A, to follow immediately after Section 381 of said
Article, prohibiting the assumption by any corporation,
subject to the provisions of said sub-title, of any obliga-
tion or liability in respect of the securities of any other
corporation, or of any person, partnership or association,
without the authorization of the Public Service Com-
mission.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be, and the same is hereby
added to Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Corporations, " sub-title "Public Service Commis-
sion, " to be known as Section 381A, to follow immediately
after Section 381 of said Article, and to read as follows:

381 A. No corporation subject to the provisions of this
sub-title, organized or existing, or hereafter incorporated,
under or by virtue of the laws of the State of Maryland,
shall assume any obligation or liability as lessor, lessee,
guarantor, indorser, surety, or otherwise, in respect of the
stock, bonds, notes or other evidence of indebtedness, pay-
able at periods of more than twelve months after the, date
thereof, of any other corporation, or of any person, part-
nership or association, without the authorization of the
Commission first obtained, and the determination by the
Commission that such assumption of obligation or liability
is lawful and proper and consistent with the public interest.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 382.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Fish and Fish-
eries, " sub-title "Concurrent Law on the Potomac
River, " said new section to be known as Section 65A
