the President and Commissioners of Princess Anne of a
"Town Clerk, Treasurer and Collector" for said town of
Princess Anne with authority to collect the Town Water
Rents and all Town Taxes, and providing in addition to
the methods already authorized, additional ways of col-
lecting the taxes and water rents due and in arrears and
to provide for submitting same to the qualified voters of
said town for adoption or rejection.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That 26 new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County, " sub-
title "Princess Anne, " said new sections to be known as
Sections 317A, 317B, 317C, 317D, 317E, 317F, 317G, 317H,
3171, 317J, 317K, 317L, 317M, 317N, 3170, 317P, 317Q,
317R, 317S, 317T, 317U, 317V, 317W, 317X, 317Y, 317Z,
to follow immediately after Section 317 of said Article and
all to read as follows:
317A. The President and Commissioners of Princess
Anne shall, on the first Monday in July, 1933, and likewise
on said date every fourth year thereafter, appoint a "Clerk,
Treasurer and Collector" all centralized in one person, who
shall bear the title "Town Clerk, Treasurer and Collector
of Princess Anne, " and unless sooner removed upon charges
to be preferred and duly proven, in which case there shall
be an appeal to the Circuit Court for Somerset County,
from the Commissioners sitting in the case, if desired, shall
hold his office for four years from the date of his appoint-
ment, and until his successor is appointed and qualified.
The "Town Clerk, Treasurer and Collector of Princess
Anne" shall be paid a salary of Nine hundred dollars
($900) per annum, payable in monthly installments. He
shall keep in the minute books a record of all the proceed-
ings of the regular meetings of the President and Com-
missioners of Princess Anne as the same occur as well as
of their special meetings, when notified thereof. He shall
within six days after any ordinance has been passed record
the same fully and at length in the ordinance book, and he
shall duly and promptly record and enter in the general
record books all papers, documents, contracts and orders
which the Charter or the ordinances or the directions of
the Commissioners require to be recorded therein. He shall
attend all meetings of the Board unless previously excused
therefrom, and assist the Commissioners in the discharge
