CHAPTER 307.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 5 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Calvert County, " to be under sub-title "Building Per-
mits, " said new sections to be known as Sections 86A
and 86B and to follow immediately after Section 86 of
said Article, requiring permits for the construction, re-
construction and remodeling of any building where the
value of the same, after such work thereon, shall exceed
one hundred dollars ($100), and providing penalties for
the construction, reconstruction and remodeling of such
buildings without having obtained a permit.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That two new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County, " to be
under sub-title "Building Permits, " said new sections to be
known as Sections 86A and 86B, to follow immediately
after Section 86 of said Article, and to read as follows:

86A. All persons, firms or corporations shall, before
erecting or constructing any building in Calvert County
where the value of such construction shall be more than
one hundred dollars ($100), and before reconstructing, re-
modeling or repairing any building in said county where
the actual cost of such reconstruction, remodeling or re-
pairing shall exceed the sum of two hundred dollars ($200),
make application to the Clerk to the County Commissioners
of said county for a permit for such work. The applica-
tion for the permit shall set forth in detail the location of
the land whereon said building is to be constructed or re-
paired, the size, number of stories, type of material and the
estimated cost of the building or repairing; said application
shall be accompanied by the payment to the clerk of the
County Commissioners of a fee of one dollar ($1), which
sum shall be paid over to the County Commissioners of
said county. The clerk shall thereupon issue a permit for
the construction, erection, reconstruction, remodeling or
repairing of the building, as the case may be, which permit
shall be issued in triplicate, one copy to the applicant, one
to the Supervisor of Assessments of Calvert County and
one to be retained in the file of the County Commissioners
of said county; provided that where an incorporated town
located in Calvert County shall require building permits
