hereby authorized and empowered to employ a clerk, in
addition to the said deputy; at such compensation as may
be fixed by the County Commissioners of Worcester County,
not exceeding $l, 000. 00 per year, to be paid by said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or
parts of Acts inconsistent with this Act be and they are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 285.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
57 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, "
sub-title "County Commissioners, " changing the time
of meeting of the County Commissioners of Worcester
County, decreasing their compensation and authorizing
and empowering them to employ a clerk.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 57 of Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wor-
cester County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to
read as follows:
57. At the General Election to be held on the first
Tuesday after the first Monday in November, 1934,
and every fourth year thereafter, there shall be elected
three County Commissioners who shall be qualified
voters of said County and shall have resided at least two
years in said Worcester County immediately preceding
their election, and shall have been owners of and assessed
with real estate said County for at least one year pre-
ceding their; said election; and for the purpose of selecting
persons eligible as said County Commission. ers, the County
shall be considered as divided into three Commissioners'
