two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 276.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Town Commis-
sioners of Centreville, a municipal corporation, to borrow
upon the faith and credit of said municipal corporation
the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. 00), or so
much thereof as may be necessary for the purpose of
paying interest soon to mature upon certain bonds of
said municipal corporation, of certain other municipal
obligations and for the payment of current general
municipal expenses; to execute and deliver the promis-
sory notes of said municipal corporation with interest
for the amount and/or amounts so borrowed or which
may be borrowed, and to renew said note and/or notes
from time to time for a period not extending beyond
July 1, 1935.
WHEREAS, the Town Commissioners of Centreville, a
municipal corporation, has on deposit in the Centreville
National Bank of Maryland, a national bank incorporated
under the laws of the United States, all its municipal funds;
and
WHEREAS, said bank is now closed for the withdrawal of
deposits by the regulations imposed on national banks by
the government of the United States and it is not known
to said municipal corporation when said funds so deposited
in said bank can be withdrawn; and
WHEREAS, said municipal corporation has interest soon
maturing on certain municipal bonds, other municipal obli-
gations as well as current general municipal expenses for
the payment of which money must be immediately provided.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Town Commissioners of Centreville,
a municipal corporation, be and it is hereby authorized and
empowered to borrow upon the faith and credit of said
municipal corporation the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($15, 000. 00), for the purpose of paying maturing interest
