shall be eligible for appointment as deputy Sheriff under
the Sheriff who shall next succeed him; and if appointed,
shall not be permitted to qualify as such deputy Sheriff, it
being the intent of this Act that no person charged with
the collection and disbursements of funds arising from
judgments rendered by the Circuit Court for Worcester
County or any Court in this State shall be permitted by
deputization to attend to and execute such business except
in the performance of duties imposed on him as former
sheriff under the provisions of law in relation of such of-
fice.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted as aforesaid, That
this Act shall take effect upon the expiration of the
term of office of the Sheriff of Worcester County who was
elected on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in No-
vember, in the year 1930.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 275.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 375 to 380, both inclusive, of
Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Caroline County, " sub-title "Liquor
and Intoxicating Drinks, " said sections relating to the
shipment of certain spirituous, vinous, fermented, malt
or intoxicating liquors.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 375 to 380, both inclusive, of
Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Caroline County, " sub-title "Liquor
and Intoxicating Drinks, " be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the
