294B. For transporting or conveying any person or
persons under sentence to any State or County Institution
or from any jail or other place of confinement, beyond the
limits of Worcester County, under sentence or order of any
legal authority, the County Commissioners shall pay to the
Sheriff the actual costs of transportation of himself and of
such person or persons so carried or conveyed as above
mentioned, provided, that if he take the person or persons
in a motor vehicle, he shall be allowed mileage of 5 cents
for each mile traveled. Before payment of such expenses,
however, the said Sheriff shall present under oath an item-
ized account of such actual expenditures and all bills for
such expenditures must be rendered at least once every
month.

294C. All fees and charges in civil and criminal cases
to which the Sheriff may now be entitled by law, shall here
hereafter be collected for and paid to the County Commis-
sioners for said Worcester County, in the following man-
ner: The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Worcester County
shall in all criminal cases and in all civil cases, both at law
and in equity, instituted in said Circuit Court, collect all
costs taxable in said cases for the benefit of the said Sheriff,
and at the end of each law term of said Court pay over the
same to the County Commissioners of Worcester County,
together with an itemized statement thereof.

294D. The Sheriff shall make to the County Commis-
sioners a full and detailed report monthly of any and all
fees collected by him in the discharge of his official duties
for the preceding month, the said report to be under oath
of the said Sheriff and to be accompanied by the Sheriff's
check for the amount thereof.

294E. All writs, summonses, orders, petitions and other
legal papers directed to the Sheriff of Worcester County
shall be served by him or by one of the deputies of said
Sheriff.

294F. The County Commissioners shall furnish said
Sheriff an office in the Court House in Snow Hill where
either he or one of his deputies shall visit daily except
Sundays.

294G. No person in Worcester County who has been the
Sheriff thereof at the term next preceding his successor
