CHAPTER 213.

AN ACT to add ten new sections to Article 56 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924,
title "Licenses", sub-title "Additional License Fees for
the State", said new sections to follow immediately after
Section 104, to be known as Sections 104A, 104B, 104C,
104D, 104E, 104F, 104G, 104H, 104-1 and 104J, to au-
thorize the manufacture, sale and transportation of, and
to regulate the sale and distribution of beer, lager beer,
porter, and wine, fermented malt or vinous liquor, or
fruit juice, containing one-half of one per centum or
more of alcohol by volume, and not more than 3. 2 per
centum of alcohol by weight; to require a license for
the sale and distribution of such beverages, and to pro-
vide the manner and terms of the issuance of, and the
determination of objections to the granting of such li-
censes, and the revocation thereof; to exempt certain
political units from the provisions of this Act; to pro-
vide penalties for the violation of this Act; and to repeal
all public general and public local laws inconsistent or
in conflict with the provisions of this Act to the extent
of such inconsistency or conflict.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That ten new sections be and the same are
hereby added to Article 56 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924, title "Licenses", sub-
title "Additional License Fees for the State", the said new
sections to follow immediately after Section 104, to be
placed under a new sub-title reading "Beer and Other
Brewed or Fermented Beverages", to be known as 104A,
104B, 104C, 104D, 104E, 104F, 104G, 104H, 1041 and
104J, and to read as follows:

104A: The manufacture, sale, transportation within
this State and the importation and exportation of beer,
lager beer, porter, and wine, fermented malt or vinous
liquor, or fruit juice, containing one-half of one per centum
or more of alcohol by volume, and not more than 3. 2 per
centum of alcohol by weight, are hereby legalized and au-
thorized anywhere within this State, and each and every
public general and public local law prescribing a lower per-
1 centum for said beverages by weight or volume, or other-
wise inconsistent or in conflict with this section or with
any other provision of this Act is hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency or conflict.
