of such regulations as the Mayor and Council may pre-
scribe. They shall attend the meetings of the Mayor and
Council, and perform such duties as they may be directed
to perform. The Clerk shall keep the minutes of the pro-
ceedings of the Mayor and Council in a well bound book to
be provided by the Mayor and Council, which shall be open
for inspection to all persons interested therein. He shall
receive the taxes and other moneys due the town, and
deliver same to the Treasurer, keeping a record of each
item. The Treasurer shall keep all moneys belonging to
the town and disburse the" same only in accordance with
the regulations and orders of the Mayor and Council. The
Clerk and the Treasurer shall each give bond to the Mayor
and Council in such penalties and with such sureties as the
Mayor and Council may require. The Marshal shall pre-
serve the peace and good order of the town, and enforce
the ordinances passed by the Mayor and Council, and for
this purpose he is vested with the same power and
authority within the boundary limits of the said town as
constables now have or may have hereafter under the laws
of this State; provided that the power and authority of said
Marshal and the criminal jurisdiction of said Justice of
the Peace shall extend to and cover the entire area of the
Washington-Baltimore Boulevard from the intersection of
the east boundary line of Fort Lincoln Cemetery, extended,
with the north line of said Boulevard to the intersection of
the high water line on the east bank of Anacostia River
with the north line of said Boulevard. The Health Officer
shall make frequent inspections, as often as may be neces-
sary to maintain the public health and sanitary condition of
the town, and for this purpose he is vested with the same
authority within the boundary limits of said town as any
health officer of the State.

262. The boundaries of said town shall be as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad with Duelling Run, thence in a northeasterly direc-
tion along said Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to Bunker Hill
Road, thence in an easterly direction along the southwest
side of said Bunker Hill Road to the centre of the Washing-
ton-Baltimore Boulevard, thence westerly along the centre
of said Washington-Baltimore Boulevard to its intersection
with Duelling Run, thence along the meanderings of said
Duelling Run to the place of beginning, containing thirty
acres more or less.

272. (F) The Cottage City Commission may appoint
by resolution one or more bailiffs who shall be allowed the
