Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall be made to the
Treasurer of the several Volunteer Fire Companies of the
City of Annapolis ninety days after the tax levying period
of each year. The Treasurer of each of the several Volunteer
Fire Companies shall give satisfactory bond to the County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County, excluding the City
of Annapolis, in the amount of Two Thousand Dollars
($2, 000. 00) before said payments shall be made. The
Treasurer of each of the several Volunteer Fire Companies
of the City of Annapolis shall give satisfactory bond to the
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis in the
amount of two thousand dollars ($2, 000. 00) before said
payments shall be made.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County be, and they are
hereby authorized and empowered, to pay the salaries of
the chauffeurs of the several Volunteer Fire Companies
from the road tax of the Election District in which said
Volunteer Fire Company is located; the salary of each
chauffeur not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100. 00) per
month, payable monthly. The chauffeurs of the several
Volunteer Fire Companies shall be appointed and/or dis-
missed by the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County, upon the recommendation of the said Volunteer
Fire Companies. This section shall not apply to the City
of Annapolis.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That every Volunteer
Fire Company affected by this Act shall make an annual
financial report and a detailed operating report to the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County on or be-
fore December 1st, of each year; failure to comply with
this section of this Act shall exclude any Volunteer Fire
Company from the benefits of this Act. This section shall
not apply to the City of Annapolis. That every Volunteer
Fire Company in the City of Annapolis affected by this Act
shall make an annual financial report and a detailed operat-
ing report to the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of An-
napolis on or before December 1st, of each year; failure to
comply with this section of this Act shall exclude any Vol-
unteer Fire Company in the City of Annapolis from the
benefits of this Act.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners be, and are hereby, authorized and empow-
