hold office for three years from the date of appointment,
and in the event of a vacancy existing by any reason, the
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis shall pro-
ceed immediately to appoint another person to fill such
vacancy.
8. The Board of Supervisors of Election of Annapolis
shall provide for the registration of all persons entitled to
vote at Municipal Elections in the City of Annapolis, on the
second Tuesday of March in each year, when a Municipal
Election is to be thereafter, beginning in the year 1936,
and on the third Tuesday of March in each year, when
registration is provided, beginning in the year 1936. The
Board of Registry in each precinct in the City of Annapolis
shall receive applications in writing, under oath, to strike
from said Registration Lists the names of persons who
may not be entitled to vote at said Municipal Elections.
Such applications shall comply with the provisions of Arti-
cle 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled "Elec-
tions. " On the third Tuesday of March, the Registers
shall sit for the sole purpose of revising said Registration
Lists, and their proceedings shall be, in all respects in
accordance with the provisions of said Article 33 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, and any person feeling ag-
grieved at a decision of said Registers shall have the right
of appeal to the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County,
and said appeal shall be heard and determined as provided
by said Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
For the year 1933, the Board of Supervisors of Election of
Annapolis shall provide for the registration of all persons
entitled to vote at Municipal Elections, on the second Tues-
day in June, 1933, and said Board of Supervisors shall
sit for revising the registration lists on the third Tues-
day in June, 1933.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, or any
of them, are hereby repealed to the extent of any such
inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date, of its passage.
