shall not be entitled to vote with the Mayor and Aldermen
of the City of Annapolis. He shall receive a salary of Five
Hundred Dollars a year payable monthly, shall attend at
the meetings of the said Mayor and Aldermen, shall attend
to all the law business of said City, and shall advise the
Mayor and Aldermen as to all legal matters at such time or
times as he may be called upon so to do. He shall not be
authorized to employ any other attorney to assist him in
his legal work without the consent of the Mayor and Alder-
men of said City first had and obtained, and in no case
shall the compensation of the attorney especially employed
exceed the sum of Five Hundred Dollars in any one case.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the name and
style of the Corporation of the City of Annapolis be and the
same is hereby changed from "Mayor, Counselor and Al-
dermen of the City of Annapolis, " to "Mayor and Alder-
men of the City of Annapolis, " and wherever in the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County, " sub-title '"Annapolis', " or the ordinances passed
in pursuance thereof, the words "Mayor, Counselor and
Aldermen of the City of Annapolis" appear, said words
shall be read "Mayor and Aldermen of the City of An-
napolis. "
3. Nominations for a Mayor and two Aldermen from
each Ward in the City of Annapolis shall be made by direct
vote of the respective political parties at Primary Elec-
tions to be held in the City of Annapolis on the third Tues-
day of April in each year in which the Municipal Elections
in the City of Annapolis are to be held, excepting as here-
inafter provided for the year 1933. The Primary Elec-
tions for the year 1933 shall be held on the second Tuesday
in June, 1933. All provisions as laid down in Article 33 of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Elec-
tions, " shall apply to all Primary Elections held in the
City of Annapolis.
4. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis,
shall on the second Tuesday of February, every three
years, beginning in 1936, appoint three persons who shall
be residents and voters of the City of Annapolis, two of
whom shall always be selected from the leading political
parties of the State one from each of said parties. They
shall be persons of approved integrity and capacity and
none of them shall hold elective office and they must not
be candidates for office during their term of office. They
shall be constituted the Board of Supervisors of Election
of the City of Annapolis, each or said Supervisors shall
