235A. The County Commissioners of Howard County
shall pay to the sheriff, sheriff's deputies, or constables,
upon presentation of proper vouchers, a sum not exceed-
ing twenty cents per mile going and returning by the
most practicable route for conducting and transporting
prisoners from the place where such prisoners may be
delivered to their custody by the court or by justices of
the peace to the place of detention.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 94.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Wicomico County, " sub-title "Deeds, " said new section
to be known as Section 32A and to follow immediately
after Section 32 of said Article, to require that every
signature upon deeds, mortgages, bills of sale, condi-
tional contracts of sale, bonds, etc., shall be above the
printed or typewritten name of the signer before said
instrument may be recorded.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " sub-
title "Deeds, " said new section to be known as Section
32A, to follow immediately after Section 32 of said Article,
and to read as follows:
32A. No deed, mortgage, bill of sale, conditional con-
tract of sale, bond or other instrument that may be filed
for record in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of Wicomico County shall be admitted to record unless
the signature of any signer thereon, whether in the ca-
pacity of a party, witness or otherwise, shall be made above
the printed or typewritten name of such signer; provided,
that this section shall not apply to the signature of a Jus-
tice of the Peace or Notary Public thereon;
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.
