SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 501 of Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Gar-
rett County, " sub-title "State's Attorney, " as said section
was amended by Chapter 211 of the Acts of 1931, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to
read as follows:

501. The State's Attorney for Garrett County shall re-
ceive an annual salary of fifteen hundred dollars, which
salary shall be paid to him by the County Commissioners
of said county, payable quarterly by warrant on the County
Treasurer, and the said Commissioners shall likewise pay
to him, for the year 1933 and each year thereafter, the
sum of three hundred ($300. 00) dollars, said sum to cover
all the expenses of his office, including stationery, postage
and necessary traveling expenses. It shall be the duty of
the Sheriff of said county to collect and pay over to said
county any appearance or other fee taxed as part of the
costs payable to the State's Attorney in any criminal case.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 88.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
287 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, " sub-title
"North East, " and to add a new section to said Article,
said new section to be known as Section 288A, and to
follow immediately after Section 288 of said Article,
relating to the government of the Town of North East,
and to the enlargement of and the administration of its
corporate powers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 287 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County, " sub-title "North East, " be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendments and that a
new section be and the same is hereby added to said Article,
