county, such sum of money as they shall deem sufficient to
pay said per diem; and upon presentation to them of the
certificate of the clerk of said court, certifying the num-
ber of days in which said Crier has been engaged at each
term of said court, they are directed to pay the said per
diem in cash.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 76.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
51 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-
title "Circuit Court, " sub-heading "Bailiff, " relating to
the compensation of the Bailiffs for Talbot County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 51 of Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Tal-
bot County, " sub-title "Circuit Court, " sub-heading "Bail-
iff, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:
51. Every Bailiff attending the Circuit Court for Tal-
bot County shall receive such compensation as may be fixed
by the County Commissioners of Talbot County, not ex-
ceeding three dollars for every day's attendance upon the
sessions of said court, and upon the certificate of the clerk
of said court, stating the number of days that the said
Bailiff or Bailiffs have attended said court, the County
Commissioners of said county shall levy for the use of said
Bailiffs the amount that shall be due them.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.
