CHAPTER 60.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
592 of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore County (as
enacted by Sec. 472, Chapter 4, Acts 1920), codified in
Offutt's Revised Code of the Public Local Laws of Balti-
more County, edition of 1929, title No. 59, "Roads and
Streets, " (Flack's Code, 1930, Article 3, Sec. 592), so as
to eliminate the minimum and maximum amounts of the
county levy for roads and bridges, and to allot and ap-
portion all funds payable to said County from the State
of Maryland, and to allocate such taxes collected on
stocks and bonds as are apportioned to roads and bridges
by the County Commissioners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 592 of the Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County (as enacted by Sec. 472, Chapter 4, Acts
1920), codified in Offutt's Revised Code of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County, edition of 1929, title No. 59,
"Roads and Streets" (Flack's Code, 1930, Article 3, Sec.
592), be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, so as to read as follows:
Section 592. The County Commissioners of Baltimore
County shall annually levy upon the assessable property of
Baltimore County at the time of making the county levy,
such amount as in their discretion shall seem necessary
and prosper for county roads and bridges. Fifty per cent
of the tax so levied and collected shall be set apart as a
special road and bridge fund for the use and benefit of the
election district from which it has been collected and for
no other purpose. The remaining fifty per cent, together
with all money receivable by Baltimore County for road
and bridge purposes, including all money payable to Balti-
more County by the State of Maryland from whatever
source and/or sources, and together with all fines and
forfeitures payable to Baltimore County from any source
whatsoever, and together with such taxes collected
on stocks and bonds as the County Commissioners
may in their discretion allocate and apportion for
road and bridge purposes, shall be and constitute a
fund to be known as the General Road and Bridge
Fund and may be expended for any lawful road or bridge
purpose anywhere in Baltimore County, including retire-
ment and interest requirements on outstanding road bonds,
