Code 1930, Article 3), said new sections to follow Sec-
tion 130 of said Code and to be known as Sections 130A,
130B and 130C, ratifying expenditures in said county for
the relief of unemployed and destitute persons during
1932, and ratifying a levy for 1933 to be expended in
the same manner, and authorizing a levy for the same
purpose for 1934.
WHEREAS, An emergency now exists and has existed for
some months past in Baltimore County whereby it has
become necessary and imperative for the County Com-
missioners of said County to provide from public funds for
the relief, support and maintenance of unemployed, desti-
tute and indigent men, women and children residing with-
in the confines of said County; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the authority vested in said
County Commissioners under Article 25 of the Pub-
lic General Laws of the State of Maryland, they
have appointed a certain board, known as the "Trus-
tees of the Poor, " as in said Article provided;
and
WHEREAS, Through and by virtue of the offices of said
"Trustees of the Poor" during the year 1932, the sum of
thirty-six thousand ($36, 000. 00) dollars was expended for
such relief, support and maintenance of unemployed, desti-
tute and indigent persons from and out of available surplus
funds in the hands of said County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Said emergency continues and in all probabil-
ity will continue during an indefinite period in the future,
and since the said County Commissioners of Baltimore
County, in making up their county levy for 1933, levied
seventy-two thousand (§72, 000. 00) dollars on the assessable
property of said County, to be expended (if needed)
through the "Trustees of the Poor" during the year 1933
for the relief, support and maintenance of unemployed,
destitute and indigent persons; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new and additional sections be and
they are hereby added to Offutt's Revised Code of the Pub-
lip Local Laws of Baltimore County, edition of 1929, title
No. 13, "County Commissioners, " to follow immediately
after. Section: 130 and to be known and designated as Sec-
tions 130A, 130B and 130C of said Code (Article 3, Flack's
Code 1930), reading as follows:
